Township Yogi – Watch the movie and donate

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our My Asana Movie Night on 6 December. It was lovely to come together as a community, relax, enjoy some nibbles and Asnat’s delicious homemade chai, and settle in to watch the inspiring and moving documentary Township Yogi.

Our support of The Angels Network Australia

My Asana is proud to support the work of The Angel Network Australia and has sponsored a soup kitchen in the township of Langa, Cape Town, South Africa. The kitchen, called Hannah and Ben’s Kitchen, feeds over 500 people a day and provides much needed supplies for school and daily life.

Currently, the Angel Network are collecting donations for 400 children who are about to start their school year in Langa. Donations will go directly to support specific supplies needed for the new school year, for example:

  • Backpack $3.70
  • Pack of 2 school shirts $10

We have already raised over $200 from those who attended our movie night and more donations are coming in every day. Thank you to our kind and generous community!

We will be holding more movie nights and fundraising events next year to continue to support the soup kitchen and all the important work of the Angels Network. As a community, we can make a real difference to the lives of hundreds of children in Langa.
